LEGEND of KAGE You’ve got me running wild in a cage One look at your face and I can tell it’s still the same And it’s been a while since I ate You said I was wrong Turns out not for long They told me to beware I said I don’t care One look at my eye and you’ll know That I’m burnin red as I am going for the throat I think my head could explode Caus’ all you wanna do is hold me back And all I wanna do to you’s attack I’d probably be fine if left alone One look at my eye and you’ll know That I’m burnin red as I am going for the throat I think my head could explode You said I was wrong Turns out not for long They told me to beware I said I don’t care Caus’ all you wanna do is hold me back And all I wanna do to you’s attack I’d probably be fine if left alone You’ve got me running wild in a cage One look at your face and I can tell it’s still the same And it’s been a while since I ate

FIVE STAR DAY I don't believe in astrology but you can read me my horoscope I like to hear your voice it doesn't mean that much to me you see, surely you have to know how much you mean to me fearing my destiny it seems I've shipwrecked myself before I ever left to sea hoping you'll rescue me from my fill in the blank philosophy whatever they may be used to be magical until she ran away and took with her my five star day I've been walking with a swag in my step have a feeling that I just can't forget feel like maybe I should pack up and go the only question now is where I don't know fell in love with the institution lost respect for the whole industry they will always leave you down on your knees only place I know that I never want to be Used to be magical until she ran away and took with her my five star day played like a sad guitar's refrain beautiful melodies are orchestrated by my pain used to be magical until she ran away and took with her my five star day I've been walking with a swag in my step have a feeling that I just can't forget feel like maybe I should pack up and go the only question now is where I don't know fell in love with the institution lost respect for the whole industry they will always leave you down on your knees only place I know that I never want to be

Instead of beating me up you should be giving me hope Instead of bringing me down you should be lifting me up instead of starting a fire you should be heating things up I'd never leave you there screaming for my love I will never leave you screaming for my love

It's easygoing sarcasm Don't get me wrong girl My heart is in the right place But sometimes it's off course This overwhelming feeling Has taken over me again, My love, don't get me Wrong about the time We took a walk, We're holding hands, and I said What if we got stuck Like this forever Wrong about the time We took a swim I turned to you and said I'm drowning in Your love, boy are you crazy It's not the way I am, It's just the way I are But, darling if we stick together And stumble onto buried treasure Our hearts will soon Become golden monuments Of our devotion Wrong about the time We took a bike ride Raced you to the westside But you got pissed and left me Wrong about the time We took a hike, I said get lost, you said Okay again, I'm out of here You're crazy boy It's not the way I am, It's just the way I are

Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights Don't ever ask me where I go Last man who asked me had to go Because if you start asking then I'll be hostile acting Don't ever ask me where I go Don't ever ask me where I'm from In six states that's considered dumb Because if you start asking, I'll pull this heat I'm packing Don't ever ask me where I'm from I've never been beaten, I won't stop competing Don't ever ask me where I'm from I get the red out when I take my lead out Don't ever ask me where I'm from I've never been beaten, I won't stop competing Don't ever ask me where I'm from I get the red out when I take my lead out Don't ever ask me where I'm, don't ever ask me where I'm from In six states that's considered dumb Don't ever ask me where I go Just thought I outta let you know Because if you start asking then I'll be hostile acting

KEEP IT TOGETHER I know it's none of my business, But if in the end you get hurt I'll feel responsible I'm taking over your business, Before you piss it away You've been flying blind People never change Bitch don't even try You've been flying blind, You've got to keep it together You say your wander is aimless It's a wonder you've come so far On beauty, luck and love For a life filled with So much emptiness Once you get off the ground You'll be flying blind People never change Bitch tell me you'll try You'll be flying blind, You've got to keep it together Swear to me you won't fall apart You're falling into your old ways The harder habits to break Will do you better You're falling into your old ways, Before you get off the ground You'll be flying blind People never change Bitch tell me you'll try You'll be flying blind, You've got to keep it together Before it all falls apart, again

about

Recorded August 17th, 2014 at Denny Park in Seattle, WA for the first annual run of Pianos in the Parks, a pilot project created by the Seattle Parks Dept. & various partners.

20 pianos were placed outside at 20 local parks for one month, open to the public for all to play. Artists were commissioned to transform each into an individual work of art. The results were some mind-blowingly cool pianos that, after a four week run, were auctioned off to the public. To highlight this ingenious idea, KEXP asked Seattle musicians to perform and filmed the action.

Aqueduct chose Denny Park, in part because of the beautiful downtown setting and also for the awesome artwork (CJ Sawyer) particular to this piano. Sunday, August 17th was a glorious sunny day which made for a fun crowd and a few uninvited guests (seaplanes, sirens & seagulls). Due to the close proximity to Lake Union & Downtown Seattle, the park was full of great ambient sounds that were captured in the recording.
